Main :: Our Crew :: Featured Crew :: Joy Will Joy Will: Alaskan's Own Tinkerbell Joy Will: Alaskan's Own Tinkerbell Joy Will always knew she wanted to live and work in Alaska, but it wasn't until her second move to Juneau, that she found her place. After going to college in Washington, it was not long before she found her way to the accounting department at Alaskan Brewing. When her family moved to Southern California, Joy decided to move to San Diego for something different. "I was excited to find a job working at Sea World, and living so close to Disneyland after leaving Juneau, but I never felt like I was at home in San Diego. I missed Juneau and working for Alaskan Brewing Co." When not in Alaska, Joy's favorite places to travel are America's two favorite playgrounds - Disneyland and Las Vegas. She recently left behind Caesar's Palace and Space Mountain for her first European adventure through Italy. She may have just been there this spring, but Joy (which is "gioia" in Italian) says that she is, "ready to return again and spend more time in Tuscany visiting small villages, trying more of their traditional cuisine, wine, cheese and, of course, Italian beer." In the more than six years she has worked for Alaskan, Joy has taken on quite a few roles. She is not only an accountant, but also assists with Human Resources and is an active member of both the Party Planning and Wellness Committees. Joy is an admitted "Disney fanatic," and Tinkerbell is her all-time favorite character because she is "sassy and sweet at the same time." Her passions, "other than dessert," are "fitness and nutrition and trying to motivate other people to be fit." Joy is, in a way, Alaskan's own Tinkerbell, sprinkling advice about expense reports, employee exemptions and the importance of exercise throughout the brewery. While health and fitness are very important to her lifestyle, Joy admits to spoiling herself with an Alaskan Amber or the Alaskan Raspberry Wheat, one of the brews in the Rough Draft Series, when she can find it on tap. << Back to Featured Crew
