JUNEAU, ALASKA — December 21, 2006 —Alaskan Brewing Co-founders and Co-owners Geoff and Marcy Larson and seven of the 10 original volunteers packaged 253 cases of Alaskan Amber to commemorate the first packaging of the flagship brew 20 years ago. “20th YEAR / 1986-2006” is printed on all the bottle labels in the limited-edition cases, and each case offers a free memento to the lucky person who buys it.

JUNEAU, ALASKA — December 7, 2006 — The Alaskan Brewing Co. was given the Alaska-Siberia Lend Lease Award in recognition of its support of a monument honoring the program that helped defeat Nazi Germany in World War II. Alexander Dolitsky, chairman of the Alaska-Siberia Research Center, presented the brewery with an honorary medallion and addressed the Alaskan Brew Crew during a companywide meeting.

JUNEAU, ALASKA — October 2, 2006 — The Alaskan Brewing Co. won a silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) this weekend, keeping hold of its distinction as the most award-winning craft brewery in the history of the GABF. The silver is the second big medal this year for Alaskan Pale, which also won a silver at the 2006 World Beer Cup. A competition favorite, this is the sixth medal that Alaskan Pale has taken home from GABF.

JUNEAU, ALASKA — September 8, 2006 — The Alaskan Brewing Co. won three medals in the commercial beer competition at the LA County Fair. Alaskan Amber won a gold in the Irish-style Red Ale category, Alaskan Smoked Porter a silver in the Smoked Beer category and Alaskan Summer Ale a silver in the German-style Kölsch category.

JUNEAU, ALASKA — June 19, 2006 — The Alaskan Brewing Company won Best Creative Team and Best Corporate Communicator at the Fourth Annual American Business Awards held in New York City. It was a Cinderella story for the small craft brewery, which was a finalist in every category it entered in its first year of competition. The other categories entered were Best Marketing Team and Best Marketer.

JUNEAU – Alaskan Brewing Company brought home two international medals for quality from the World Beer Cup in Seattle, Washington on April 14th. Alaskan Pale took the Silver in the Ordinary Bitter category and Alaskan Boogie Ale took bronze in the Special Bitter or Best Bitter category.

JUNEAU – Alaskan Brewing Company captured three medals, two gold and one silver, at the prestigious Great American Beer Festival (GABF) in Denver, Colorado over the weekend. The 2005 edition of the annual GABF featured samples of 1,669 of the nation’s best beers from 380 American breweries. According to event planners, it was the biggest selection of American beers ever gathered together on the globe.
