NEW TANKS MEET MARKET DEMAND FOR ALASKAN Print E-mail

Alaskan Brewing Company installed four new 400-barrel tanks at the end of November to help Alaskan Brewing Company meet growing demand for its product within its distribution area. The brewery staff reports that the installation went off with only one hitch – the weather. Apparently, inclement weather has proven to be a tradition for tank installation.

“In the early years we spent December thawing the ground with hot water and heaters so we could pour the concrete,” says Dayton Canaday, Alaskan Brewing Plant Manager. “Now we are pouring our concrete well before freeze up and doing our installations in the winter so they are ready for production needs in the spring.”

Alaskan will install two more tanks near the end of February. Southeast skiers and snowboarders may want to check in regularly for the date of the planned February installation and prepare for a good day of skiing.

Alaskan Brewing Company is the oldest operating brewery in the State of Alaska. The Juneau based company brews, bottles, and kegs all their products in Juneau. Alaskan Amber, Alaskan Pale, Alaskan Frontier and Alaskan Stout are available year round throughout the Pacific Northwest.
