Studying an average of 25 hours a week above and beyond her regular job as Production Manager at Alaskan Brewing, Kristi Saviers has passed with distinction the Associate Membership Examination of the Institute of Brewing (London). Kristi took the Master Brewers Course from the University of California at Davis to gain knowledge to pass the AME. Kristi's coursework covered the entire spectrum of brewing science (malting, mashing, brewing, fermentation and finishing) and brewery engineering (fluid flow, heat and mass transfer, and solid-liquid separation).

Kristi said she undertook the work load required to pass the test in order to learn more about subjects directly applicable to her work at the brewery. On top of all that, Kristi finds time to hike, jog and hang out with her Little Sister Zoe through the Big Brother/Big Sister program. Oh, and did we mention, she's a pilot too.
