Press Release
Tony Knowles, Alaska's governor, praised Alaskan Brewing Company's success at a special reception in Juneau. The celebration honored Geoff and Marcy Larson's recognition as the Small Business Administration's Small Business of the Year for Alaska. Over 250 crowded into the Hangar Ballroom in Juneau on Monday, May 17th for the special ceremony. Geoff and marcy received their award from the SBA and were also honored with a legislative citation from the Alaska State Legislature. Those in attendance included Alaskan Brewing Company staff, investors, distributors, community leaders, retailers and government officials. Reports from the evening indicate that a good time was had by all. And, after the big evening, Marcy was spotted Tuesday morning mopping floors at the brewery.
