The 2005 Six Pack Team poses on the glacier before heading off mushing!
Juneau, AK -- This summer, Alaskan Brewing Company is offering the chance of a lifetime to six college students and recent graduates throughout the western U.S. For four weeks, the Alaskan Six Pack Team will serve as Brand Specialists, contributing to the brewery's marketing strategy, working on beer promotions, modeling Alaskan gear for their online catalog and representing the brewery at public events. Successful candidates will travel to Juneau, Alaska for one week of onsite projects and after hours wilderness adventure with the Alaskan Brew Crew in addition to assignments in their home market.

In exchange for each brand spokespersons’ work, he/she will receive the frontline experience of a lifetime along and $2,500 for school. Best of all, each spokesperson will have the opportunity for an Alaskan adventure such as glacier trekking, sport fishing, floatplane flight-seeing, bear watching, or dog mushing on a glacier.

“For the second year in a row, Alaskan Brewing Company is thrilled to offer this ultimate summer opportunity to students and recent grads,” said Kristi Monroe, marketing communications director for Alaskan Brewing Company. “Most students spend the summers working typical summer jobs to save money. We’re able to take summer jobs one step further: not only will students be rewarded financially for their work this summer, they’ll receive a phenomenal life experience living as an Alaskan.”

For students and recent grads that know this summer adventure is for them, applications for the six positions can be submitted online at alaskanbeer.com. Applications will be accepted through April 30, and contracts will be awarded on May 15. The Alaskan Six Pack Team will work one week in their home market and fly to Juneau on June 17 for a week with the Brew Crew. The selection process is based on the following:

1. Originality and creativity of written responses
2. Content of essay responses, diversity and creativity of photograph (only one photograph will be used);
3. Ability to convey reasons why the applicant is best suited for the brand spokesperson responsibilities and brand contract assignments that Alaskan Brewing Company will present during the term of the contract.
** All applicants must be 21 years of age or older and must either be currently enrolled in a qualifying university or have graduated in the past 12 months.
