Alaskan Amber Crockpot Potroast
Ingredients
  • (1) 3-5 lb chuck roast
  • kosher salt to taste
  • 4-6 large potatoes, cut in half & quartered
  • (red potatoes taste best)
  • 6-8 carrots (sliced in small pieces or large chunks  depending on preference)
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • (any type will do, but Walla Walla sweet onions are great)
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 bottle of Alaskan Amber
  •

    Methods/steps
This is so easy. Perfect for busy people or bachelors....

Lightly rub roast with salt & place in crockpot.
Add potatoes, carrots, onions, & garlic on top of roast.
Add 2-3 dashes of kosher salt on top of everything.
Pour Alaskan Amber over top of roast and vegetables.
Turn on crockpot & cook for 8-10 hours. The longer you cook it, the more tender the meat is.

Tastes great with Alaskan Amber, Alaskan Stout, & Alaskan ESB. Another tasty addition to Amber Potroast is the Alaskan Amber Beer Quick Bread also at alaskanbeer.com.

    Enjoy!

In Babylonia 4,000 years ago, a bride's father would supply his son-in-law with all the mead he could drink for a month after the wedding. Mead is a honey beer, and because their calendar was lunar based, this period was called the honey month, which eventually came to be known as the honeymoon.
