Alaskan Smoked Porter Banana Bread
Ingredients
Breads, Cakes & Cookies
  • 2.5 cups sifted flour (plain)
  • 2 Teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ Teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ Cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 2 Tablespoons milk
  • ½ cup Alaskan Smoked Porter
  •  

    Methods/steps
    Mix and sift flower, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Beat shortening until creamy
    Add sugar gradually and continue beating until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add vanilla and Alaskan Smoked Porter, mix well.
    Add flour mixture alternately with milk and bananas, a little at a time, beating after each addition until smooth.
    Turn into well greased loaf pan.
    Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
    Serve with Smoked Porter Butter.

    Mix ½ cup butter and 2 Tablespoons Alaskan Smoked Porter until creamy and smooth. Cool, serve with Alaskan Smoked Porter Banana Bread.
