Caramelized Garlic
Ingredients
  • 30 cloves garlic (whole and peeled)
  • 1 bottle (12 oz.) Alaskan Pale
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable broth
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  •

    Methods/steps
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, bring garlic and Alaskan Pale to a boil. Simmer, covered until the garlic is tender, about 10 to 12 minutes. Remove and drain. In an 8 or 9 inch baking dish, arrange garlic in a single layer.
Meanwhile, cook sugar in a medium skillet over medium heat, stirring often. The sugar will melt and start to thicken. Add butter and broth and bring to boil. Pour sauce over garlic cloves. Bake 15 to 25 minutes or until the sauce is thick. Remove from oven and cover with foil and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature with crusty French bread or toast corners.
