ESB Chocolate Cake

Alaskan ESB Recipes
  • Dry Ingredients:
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • Liquid Ingredients:
  • ¾ cup oil
  • 4 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 bottle (12 oz.) Alaskan ESB
  • ½ cup water

    Methods/steps
    Sift all dry ingredients together into a large bowl. Make three wells in the dry mixture (one large and two small). Pour oil into the large well, vinegar into one of the small wells and the vanilla into the other small well. Pour ESB over the mixture, then add the water. Mix well. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool and serve with whipped cream or another topping of your choice.
