Slaw Topped Pork & Buns, ala Smoked Porter
Ingredients
Meat & Poultry
  • 5 lb. Pork, butt
  • Your choice of spices for seasoning
  • 32 oz. Alaskan Smoked Porter
  • 1 ¼ cup your favorite BBQ sauce
  • Rolls
  • Cole slaw
  •

    Methods/steps
Rub your favorite spice seasoning into pork and smoke pork on grill over low heat for 1 hour 45 minutes.
    Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Place in steamer, add 32 oz. Alaskan Smoked Porter, and cover tightly. Bake for 3 hours and 15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 170 degrees. Remove meat from oven, and pull pork apart using 2 forks to shred. This is best accomplished while still warm.
Mix 1 ¼ cup reserved meat juice with 1 ¼ cup of your favorite BBQ sauce and add to shredded meat. Mix well. Serve hot on rolls of choice, topped with a scoop of cole slaw and enjoy. Make sure you have plenty of napkins on hand!
