William's Alaskan Chilled Prawns
Ingredients

  • 24 ounces Alaskan Amber
  • 1 quart water
  • 1 lemon, sliced 1/4" thick
  • 4 ounces of pickling spice
  • 2 pounds of wild Alaska prawns, shelled and de-veined
  • For cocktail sauce:
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • Mix cocktail sauce ingredients together, blend well and serve with chilled prawns

    Methods/steps
    Fill 4 quart pot with Alaskan Amber, water, lemon and spices. Bring to a full and rolling boil.

    Add prawns. Remove prawns immediately after they turn pink and chill with an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Drain well. Serve with cocktail sauce.
