Winter Dinner
Ingredients
Alaskan ESB Recipes
  • 3 extra thick pork chops
  • 5 tbsp. olive oil, separated
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3-5 large carrots, chopped
  • 1-plus tbsp. chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (12-oz.) bottle Alaskan ESB
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 2 c. sauerkraut
  • 8 polish sausages or knockwurst
  •  

    Methods/steps
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Brown pork chops in 2 tbsp. olive oil skillet; remove pork chops. Saute onion and carrot in remaining olive oil until tender. Place pork chops on top. Drain sauerkraut and rinse in cold water, repeating 2 to 3 times. Add parsley, salt, pepper, beer, broth and sauerkraut. Cover and cook in oven for 3 hours. Add sausage and cook one more hour.

    Serve with boiled potatoes, rye bread and hot mustard.
