Taste what’s in season

In the temperate rainforest of southeast Alaska, there are only two seasons: rain and snow. Or maybe we should say daylight and no daylight. Alaskan Brewing likes to commemorate the turning of the seasons with two unique beers that give our fans a taste to look forward to.

sum-12-ozAlaskan Summer Ale - Just when you’ve had enough of winter, we release Alaskan Summer Ale in March. This traditional Kölsch beer is a great way to celebrate warmer weather and more daylight. Its crisp, clean flavor is the perfect complement for crab, halibut, salads and longer days.

winter1aleAlaskan Winter Ale - Winter comes early in Alaska, so we release Alaskan Winter Ale in October. The tender new growth of spruce trees has been used for brewing in Alaska since the late 1700s when explorers sailed the coast of Alaska looking for the Northwest Passage. Alaskan Brewing revives this tradition, adding spruce tips to its Alaskan Winter Ale.
