THE RULES
Official Sweepstakes Rules
1. Eligibility:
This Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States who are twenty-one (21) years or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Alaskan Brewing Co., their respective distributors or accounts, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies and immediate family members of each are not eligible. Really now, how fair would that be? Contest open to residents in current distribution areas: Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming. California residents can enjoy our beer; however, state law does not permit residents to enter.
2. Entry:
No purchase necessary for online entry. You must be 21 years or older (duh!) to be eligible for this Sweepstakes. Limit one entry per household or e-mail address. We have amazing memories, so don't push it. To enter online, you will be asked to provide your first and last name, address, phone number and e-mail address. No worries—we aren't going to spam you, because we hate being spammed ourselves. All online entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Alaska Standard Time (for those of you in the Lower 48, Alaska Standard Time is one hour earlier than Pacific) on the deadline date. To enter by mail, send a 3x5 card on which you have printed your first and last name, address, phone number and e-mail address to:

Mail-in entries cannot exceed one, count 'em one (1), per household. All U.S. mail-in entries must be postmarked by the final day of the contest and received by one week after the contest deadline. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON, REGARDLESS OF MEANS OF ENTRY. That's the second time that's come up, isn't it?
No responsibility is assumed by Alaskan Brewing Co. for lost, late, misdirected, illegible or mutilated entries or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. We won't accept lame excuses of "I forgot" or "My dog ate it," either. Entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural (as opposed to unnatural) person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Come on people, we make some of the world's best beer but we aren't rocket scientists. All entries become the property of Alaskan Brewing Co. and will not be returned to entrant, because, after all, we have better things to do, like perform quality assurance tastings.
3. Winner Selection:
Prizewinners will be selected in a random drawing to be held within two weeks of the entry deadline. Prizewinners will be notified via U.S. mail, e-mail or telephone. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. All prize drawings will be conducted by a random drawing.
4. Prizes:
One prizewinner will receive the Trip for Two. Entrants must be over 21 to enter. Any prize/prize notification returned as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. In other words, make sure you put in your contact information correctly or you are out of luck.
5. General Conditions:
Sweepstakes entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the independent judging organization, which are final on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. All applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the prizewinner. Prizewinner will be notified within seven (7) days after drawing date. Prizewinner will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within seven (7) days following attempted notification. Prizewinner also will be required to return documents within seven (7) days. Non-compliance within this time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
Entrants further grant to Alaskan Brewing Co. the right to use and publish their proper name and state online, in print or any other medium in connection with the Sweepstakes. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Alaskan Brewing Co. and their advertising and promotional agencies to use winners' names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Alaskan Brewing Co., affiliates, directors, officers, employees, lowly webmasters and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Sweepstakes or any prize won. Restrictions, conditions and limitations apply. Alaskan Brewing Co. will not replace any lost or stolen prizes.
6. Conduct:
By entering this Sweepstakes, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules. The Official Rules will be posted on the brewery web site throughout the Sweepstakes. Entrants further agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Alaskan Brewing Co. reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual—yes, even you—it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the game or web site, to be acting in violation of the Official Rules or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. I mean, come on, this is supposed to be for fun! CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GAME IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, ALASKAN BREWING CO. RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
7. Limitations of Liability:
Alaskan Brewing Co. is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by web site users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any technical or human error, which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Sweepstakes. Alaskan Brewing Co. assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or authorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Alaskan Brewing Co. is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes. In other words, it's not our fault. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Alaskan Brewing Co. and Sponsors that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Alaskan Brewing Co. reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. So don't screw it up for everyone—just follow the rules.
