Alaskan Brewing Company Unveils An Ambitious New Brew with Southern Inspirations

June 30th, 2021 (JUNEAU, AK) – Graduating from an experimental brew to the main stage is a new Southern-inspired brew from the Alaskan Brewing Company. Putting that renowned Northern twist on delicious Mexican Hot Chocolate, the Alaskan Brewing Company releases its new Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout Friday July 2nd, 2021.

The Chocolate Mexican Stout is a dark beer with a full, rounded, and smooth mouthfeel. As it’s name would imply, the drink greets you with the distinctive flavor of Mexican Hot Chocolate: a bittersweet taste of rich dark chocolate with notes of vanilla, roasted coffee, and nutmeg. Sweet, without being syrupy, this beer packs a nice little punch as it finishes with a touch of ghost pepper and cinnamon. With its layers of flavor and moderate spice, this is a unique and delicious beer that has quickly become a brew crew favorite.

Incorporating one of Yakima valley’s newest hop varieties – the Azacca hop – this brew clocks in with an impressive 7.7% ABV and a mild 34.5 IBU’s.

Be one of the first (and only) to try the exclusive, new brew at the Alaskan Brewing Company tasting room this Friday alongside a food truck from Forno Rosso for a little pizza pairing.
