A gift from above: Could Stratasphere be the beer of the new year?

January 11th, 2022 (JUNEAU, AK): Alaskan Brewing is reaching for the skies with their latest limited release offering, Stratasphere IPA. Before you ask, no that isn’t a typo. This popular re-release gets its name by featuring the famed Strata hop, which first burst on the brewing scene in 2009. Available starting January 1st for a limited time in select markets nationwide, Stratasphere IPA is a well-balanced brew that will blast your tastebuds into orbit.

An easy drinking IPA with a 6% ABV, Stratasphere is big in tropical fruit flavor and aroma – lots of mango, guava and passion fruit, with some peach in the background. Brewed to be clean and crisp with a refreshing and dry finish, this is a must try for any IPA enthusiast. Stratasphere is the first of eight limited release varieties being brought to market by Alaskan Brewing in 2022. “We enjoy bringing these limited release beers to our customers who can’t make it to Juneau to try them in our Tasting Room.” Co-founder Geoff Larson explains, “Each one of these varieties has spent time on tap in our Tasting Room and were very popular, so we decided to produce enough to share with all our customers.”
